How we work

GLIDE TO SWIm Method

Glides are the foundation to swimming. At Shoreline, we are pioneering the swim industry through our unique curriculum and strategies to produce proficiency. Our lesson structure is built around Water Safety and Survival with the following core skills:

  1. Face in the Water & Breath Control

  2. Glides

  3. Back Floats

  4. Kicks

Swim to Float Method

Once Students have mastered the Glide to Swim Method, we introduce our Swim to Float Method which incorporates deeper levels of buoyancy control, water familiarity and hand/arm movement by implementing the following core skills:

  1. Rolls

  2. Arms

  3. Swimming to and from the wall

Stroke development

After Students have demonstrated proficiency in the Swim to Float Method, we advance to Stroke Development which focuses on technique and efficiency of motion in the following core movements:

  1. Free Style

  2. Backstroke

  3. Breaststroke

  4. Butterfly

  5. IMs

  6. Treading Water

  7. Flip Turns
